Note : This is the "Original" High School Nationals". Rich Peters began the very first High School Nationals 29 years ago at Lloyd Noble Center on the Campus of Oklahoma University. The very first meet had 167 lifters from 32 States. Since then the NASA High School Nationals has grown to a peak of over 350 entries in some years. World Famous Lifters such as Mark Henry have lifted in this meet. We have had lifters represent schools from more than 38 states over the decades. Many have tried to copy this meet and imitate it, but have yet to duplicate our long lasting tradition of putting the lifters 1st.

Power Sports© Lifters- Events in Power Sports are: Strict Curl, Bench Press & Deadlift. The combined Total of the best lift in these 3 events will determine the lifter's Over-All Total and his / her Placing. Because of the continued rise in the Cost of Powerlifting Equipment, we have been asked to include Power Sports in the High School Nationals. Power Sports does not allow ANY Supportive Equipment except a 4" wide belt. This rule applies to Power Sports© Lifters Only.

Equipped Powerlifting Lifters (Squat, BP & DL) can wear Wrist Wraps, Knee Wraps, Single Ply Suits and Shirts and Belt if they are entered in the Powerlifting portion of the Meet. Power Sports is the hottest thing going in the Powerlifting World today! Now ANY Steroid Free High School Lifter can compete on His/Her Level without cost being a major factor.

Unequipped Powerlifting Lifters (Squat, BP & DL) can wear Wrist Wraps, Knee Wraps & Belt. No Single supportive Suits and Shirts if they are entered in the Unequipped Powerlifting portion of the Meet.

Unequipped Bench Press Only Lifters (Squat, BP & DL) can wear Wrist Wraps & Belt. No Single supportive Suits and Shirts if they are entered in the Unequipped Bench Press Only portion of the Meet.

Power Press© Lifters- 3rd Year - Consists of the lifters best Power Clean and Best BP. Unequipped. Wrist and Knee Wraps and Belt are allowed. No Supportive BP Shirts or Suits are allowed. Power Press Rules Here!

In consideration of your acceptance of this entry, I hereby waive, for myself, my heirs and assigns, any and all claims for injury or damages which I may incur by virtue of my competing in this contest as against Rich Peters, NASA Powerlifting, the facility used (Wyndham Gardens Hotel) and any of their agents and employees. I also realize that the sport of Powerlifting is a high risk sport and that I could be injured. I certify that I am in good physical health and have no serious health problems and that I assume full responsibility for such conditions. I realize that if I use the False Grip or Open Grip that it is a dangerous method of BP'ing and I assume full responsibility if I choose to use this method to BP. I also realize that I am fully responsible for my well being and all injuries I might sustain and my own safety in the warm up room, on the lifting platform and while I am lifting at this event.
