All NASA Rules will apply to the Masters Evolution Division with only the exceptions listed below.
Masters Evolution Division
Definition
The Masters Evolution division implements the use of the Top Squat by Dave Draper for squats in competition. This division is for Masters lifters only and all lifters in this division will use the Top Squat device for all 3 squat attempts. No exception will be made. The purpose of using the Top Squat is to allow Masters competitors that can no longer hold the squat bar on their back due to shoulder injuries compete again on a level playing field with other Masters lifters. No supportive suits will be allowed on the squat. Supportive shirts and suits will however be allowed on the Bench Press and Deadlift.
Rules
Squat
All Masters Evolution competitors will be required to use the Top Squat
attachment for all 3 squat attempts. The squat will fall into the NASA
un-equipped category. Lifters must
wear a 1 piece lifting outfit or singlet. Lifters may wear a 4 inch wide leather
lifting belt, wrist wraps up to 1 meter in length and knee wraps up to 2 meters
in length. All other rules in
regards to execution, completion of the squat follow the current squat rules of
NASA. See the

Bench Press
The Masters Evolution division will follow the NASA equipped Bench Press rules
as written. A single ply bench press shirt will be allowed but not required in
accordance with the current rules. Please refer to the Costume and Personal
Equipment section of the NASA rulebook for all Equipment other than the allowed
BP Shirts. See Allowed BP Shirts Below.
Deadlift
The Masters Evolution division will follow the NASA equipped deadlift rules as
written. A single ply deadlift suit will be allowed but not required in
accordance with the current rules. Please refer to the Costume and Personal
Equipment section of the NASA Rulebook
